The heart behind Prayer Works was born from faith, resilience, and a deep desire to inspire others.
As a single mother of four, Shalonda faced many of life’s challenges head-on. During some of her most difficult moments, prayer became the place where she found peace, strength, and direction. What began as a personal source of comfort soon became a calling to share that same hope with others.
Working daily with single mothers as a childcare provider, she witnessed firsthand the struggles many women carry in silence. Through those experiences, a vision was placed on her heart—to encourage, uplift, and introduce others to the power of prayer.
That vision grew into Prayer Works, a brand and movement dedicated to empowering, motivating, and reminding people that faith has the power to transform lives. Through inspirational apparel, books, music, novelty items, and motivational speaking, she aims to spark conversations about faith and help others discover the strength that comes through prayer.
For her, Prayer Works isn’t just a phrase — it’s a lifestyle.
